In the ancient land of threads and traditions, where each loom hums like a heartbeat and each needle whispers a tale, a journey began.
In 2011, three visionaries - Capt. Kavita Ahlawat, Mr. Vikas Kapoor, and Mr. Manish Kapoor, sowed the first seeds of Q-One. Together, with 25 years of collective wisdom, they built a sanctuary where fabric and faith intertwined, where artistry was not a trade, but a calling.
Years later, the next generation, Kavita’s daughter - Freya, decided to join the legacy. Educated in the United Kingdom and shaped by her professional experiences in Dubai, she brought with her a global perspective. Yet, one question always bothered her. “Why is it that everyone abroad has such a high appreciation for the art of embroidery yet no one knows about the hands that make them? She wanted people to understand the hours and precision that goes into each design. She knew that in this world of fast fashion, slow fashion is true luxury.
Thus, was born the House of Qaara - a name echoing its essence, drawn from kara - sanskrit for the hand. Not just a brand, but a promise. A promise to honor, protect, and celebrate the quiet dignity of those whose artistry turns time into heirloom.
Every Qaara creation is more than an accessory. It is the continuation of a story that began centuries ago, retold with each motif, each pearl, each sequined bloom. It is tradition reborn as modern luxury, yet it bows deeply to its roots.
House of Qaara stands today as a bridge - between artisans and admirers, between heritage and the future, between patience and permanence. For in every piece lives not just craft, but the spirit of generations. And as the Panchatantra tells us, wisdom lies not in haste, but in reverence. Reverence for the hands, the hearts, and the heritage that make beauty eternal.
