Social Alchemy

At Qaara, design is more than aesthetic, it is a responsibility. Rooted in India’s heritage of handwork and artistry, our purpose extends beyond preserving craft; it embraces the lives of those who carry resilience in the face of profound challenges.

Through our Skill Development Centers at AIIMS National Cancer Institute, Jhajjar, we stand beside families who endure the long and uncertain journey of cancer treatment. For many, the illness takes not only a physical and emotional toll but also disrupts livelihoods. In moments where the primary source of income is lost, we believe dignity must not be.

By training individuals in traditional embroidery and handwork, we create avenues of sustainable livelihood and women empowerment. Each stitch learned becomes more than skill -  it is continuity, hope, and the restoration of agency. In preserving techniques passed down through generations, we ensure that the art of Indian kaarigari remains alive, while providing a path to resilience for those navigating life’s most testing circumstances.

This initiative is a long-term commitment to nurturing craft and human potential. It is our belief that when heritage and humanity meet, transformation occurs: craft is preserved, dignity is restored, and futures are reimagined.

At House of Qaara, we design not only for beauty but for impact - weaving threads of tradition into lives that deserve strength, honor, and renewal.
